Proper Magazine Issue 28 - TNF Cover
If you’ve bought this magazine then first of all thanks very much and second of all boy I hope you like jackets. Because frankly this issue is absolutely packed with them, smocks, parkas, anoraks, technical, traditional, it’s all here but with bells on, well goggles actually. We’ve spent many, many, many hours poring over the world’s greatest outerwear just so you don’t have to. You can just simply flick through these high quality pages and see them all spread out before you in glorious technicolour. Good eh? Which one are you getting?
Hardcore coat porn aside there’s also features on a novel that’s not really a novel, Swedish graffitti, a 90 year old German woman who revolutionised the outdoor industry, a teenager who’s about to revolutionise the streetwear industry and our new favourite artist Wes Robinson. You’ll also find a favourite five with Michael Mayren who is our go-to-guy when we need some models who look like the kids we grew up with who’d wear really ace coats but hadn’t necessarily paid for them. We’ve also got something for the trainers heads too by way of a sneak peak at the next edition of the adidas schuhe book, which this time around focuses on the American city series. I always did love a pair of Hawaii, and New Yorks, and San Franciscos, and Montreals….. and so on.
Our Dutch correspondent Paul Dezentjé has also done us a tremendous piece that finally puts to rest all those self proclaimed C.P. Company/Osti experts who get themselves in a tizz over anything the brand does that sits outside of their somewhat narrow parameters. It’s a great feature and one that includes a truly incredible photo of Massimo that’s never been seen outside of the Osti family before. So a big ‘mille grazie’ to Lorenzo and Daniela for making that happen, it means a lot to be able to feature our hero in Proper.
Speaking of high ranking Italians our mates from Profilo Basso fanzine sent us some lovey snaps they took whilst out hiking up the Northern Italian mountains that were too good to keep to ourselves so we’ve shared them. Add to that a feature on some amazing denim and this has to be one of our biggest and best issues ever. So if you don’t mind we’re going to take a well earned/very short rest before we get cracking on the next issue.
